Perseids Meteor Viewing at Chimney Rock

Tuesday, August 13, 2024 (6:45 PM - 9:00 PM) (MDT)

Description

Perseids Meteor Shower is a prolific meteor associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle and is usually visible from mid-July to late-August. The meteors are called the Perseids because they appear from the general direction of the constellation Perseus. During the peak, the rate of meteors reaches 60 or more per hour. There is very little light pollution at Chimney Rock so the meteors are easier to see and enjoy.

Pricing

$5.00 per car. Load up the car with friends and family and come to Chimney Rock to watch the meteor shower.
