Pagosa Chamber - Membership & Marketing Coordinator (MMC)

The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking a motivated, organized, and community-minded Membership & Marketing Coordinator to help support and strengthen our local business community. This dynamic role combines membership engagement, marketing coordination, and event support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to the success of local businesses.

The MMC is responsible for member recruitment, retention, communication, and services, while also helping lead the Chamber’s digital marketing efforts. This position plays a key role in maintaining strong member relationships, supporting Chamber events, managing social media and website content, and helping communicate the value of Chamber membership throughout the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support membership recruitment, retention, renewals, and member communications.
  • Greet and assist Chamber visitors and provide general member services.
  • Coordinate business visits, ribbon cuttings, happy hours, seminars, and the Ambassador Program.
  • Assist with event ticket sales, setup, cleanup, and related coordination.
  • Manage membership records and updates in GrowthZone.
  • Oversee website content, monthly newsletters, weekly member emails, and Chamber social media accounts.
  • Assist with content design, video creation, banner ads, and marketing campaigns.
  • Track and report social media and Google Analytics performance insights.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in marketing, communications, customer service, or administrative support.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficiency with office software, social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Analytics (GA4), and marketing automation tools preferred.

We are looking for someone who is creative, professional, detail-oriented, and proactive. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with Chamber members, local businesses, and the public, while representing the Chamber with confidence, tact, and enthusiasm.

Salary Range

$21.00 - $24.00/hr.

Work Environment

This position is primarily office-based, with occasional early morning or evening hours for events and some local travel for business visits and community engagement.
