The Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library Foundation was formed in 2018 to ensure the future of the programs, services, resources, and facilities of the Ruby Sisson Library.
The mission of the Ruby M. Sisson Memorial Library Foundation is to support and enhance the Ruby Sisson Library by raising funds for information resources, programs, services, and facilities. The Library Foundation provides critical support to the Ruby Sisson Library by:
Enhancing high-caliber programs and services that nurture literacy, the imagination, and lifelong learning.
Increasing the footprint of the Library;
Expanding the Library collection.
The Library Foundation and the Ruby Sisson Library work together, in a strong partnership, to determine where private funds can have the greatest impact for the children and adults of our community. We do not raise money for day-to-day library operations; instead our efforts complement the funding provided by property taxpayers of Archuleta County.
