This "crash course" in basic outdoor survival principles is perfect for those who are short on time but eager to gain confidence in the outdoors. Ideal for beginners, it introduces core concepts to help you stay calm and make healthy decisions in challenging situations. Suitable for ages 10 and up, including participants with a wide variety of physical challenges as well. The course combines lecture-style teaching with hands-on training in essential skills: The Five Basic Needs of a survivor and how they interrelate Maintaining temperature Building fires Signaling for help Navigation concepts Knife sharpening and use Constructing emergency shelters A few useful knots Water principles: finding, disinfecting, and protecting it as well as identifying signs of dehydration Food rationing concepts Time: 9 am - 5 pm Bring your water, lunch, and snacks! An email with all the necessary details will be sent to registered clients about one week before the course date.
